Dear Mr. & Mrs. Ishikawa,

First of all, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the both of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

My name is Joy Banglayan. I only met you a couple times, Mr. Ishikawa. I took a modelling course with Monique at Barbizon, years back. I believe it was 1991. Monique had become a friend to me when we had our Sat. morning class. She was always happy and had something new to gossip about. I looked forward to that class every week, I guess, so we could socialize. After we "graduated, " I talked with Monique every so often, but that soon quieted down. Just because I guess, of our age difference, we really had different things to gossip about. I am 4 years older than Monique. I never did stop thinking about how the rest of the girls in our class turned out. Whether or not they continued with modelling or just went on with life as it came.

I, for one, didn't continue. I finished High School, went on to College, and now I'm working at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel, as their sales assistant.

I am just sorry that I had to learn about Monique on the radio and reading about what happened in the newspaper. It would've been great to see her in person to catch up on the years I haven't spoke with her.

I've taken enough of your time, Mr. & Mrs. Ishikawa, all I wanted to do is send my regards to the two of you and the rest of your family. Although it was a short time I knew Monique, I'll never forget her, or her smile.

My condolences,

Joy Bangdayan
