| At the time of her death, Monique was
enrolled at Capilano College, planning to study Japanese.
The college now has a Monique Ishikawa
Memorial Bursary for students studying
Japanese. Unlike a scholarship, which is awarded on the
basis of scholarship, bursaries are awarded according to
